These Mei Tais are beautiful and practical, and are made of breathable cotton and silk to help your baby to feel comfortable whatever the weather. The Standard version is not what most people would consider 'standard' as the stunning fabric and contrasting silk lining make it a luxury carrier compared to many others available! The Mei Tai has a curved top which can be folded up to support your baby's head, or turned down to show off the contrasting lining when your baby does not need it. Lovely wide straps make it really comfortable to wear The Deluxe version has padding on the waistband and straps as well as the sleephood with an applique detail taken from the fabric of the main panel.

What makes the deluxe version different? The sizing, fabrics and level of craftsmanship is the same, but they have padded straps, a stunning sleep hood with an appliqué detail from the panel fabric and a padded waist. Eggplant Flowers Stunning bold flowers on main panel, lined with pale green silk. Deluxe version has sleephood with applique flower. Silk Dragons Smooth silk with dragons on main panel, lined with dark red silk. Deluxe version has sleephood with applique dragon. Echino Birds and Spider Stunning unusual design on cotton panel, lined with turquoise silk. Deluxe version has sleephood with applique bird.
All these Mei Tais are baby sized-which means they are suitable from newborn through to at least 20mths, according to the height of your baby. The main panel on the Deluxe is 21 inches tall from the base of the waist strap to the start of the sleep hood, which is generous for a baby sized carrier. The panel is curved (just over 15.5" at the base of the panel narrowing to 14.5 and then widening to 18"at the top), with long canvas straps which are 80” long and 5 “ wide. The basic version has the same width diensions, and is 24" from the base of the carrier to the top of the curve on the panel. Cotton drill is used for the inner bodice, this has two layers of cotton drill for extra stability. Cotton is also used as the fabric overlay and a Fairtrade 100% Dupion Silk is used on the reverse.
